(Dallas, TX – Oct. 13, 2014) – Walnut Hill Medical Center CEO Cory Countryman shared the hospital’s remarkable story of patient-centered innovation with attendees at the World Summit on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The annual meeting, held September 28 – 30, 2014, in New York City, drew leaders from America’s top companies, scientists, designers and consumers to focus on the benefits of multidisciplinary thinking and how that could shape the planet and the universe.
Countryman presented his vision for reimagining health care and the patient experience that became a reality with Dallas’ Walnut Hill Medical Center. Cited by Forbes Magazine as a “hospital that Steve Jobs would have built,” Walnut Hill Medical Center represents Countryman’s innovative integration of concepts and practices from other industries to foster better design space, select the best employees and provide patients and caregivers with new tools and real-time information.
“It was an honor to share the stage with some of the world’s most innovative minds,” said Countryman. “At Walnut Hill Medical Center, we focus on continual innovation as we use best practices from companies like Apple and Ritz Carlton, in order to provide patients and staff the best possible experience.”
